Historical Ross Family Clan Tartan From Scotland

The Ross clan is a very historical clan in Scotland, with a lineage traced back to the 12th century. They have a rich history marked by significant events, including participation in the Wars of Independence and later, Royalist support in the English Civil War. 

The Ross clan is believed to have originated from the ancient Earls of Ross, who held lands in the Highlands of Scotland. 

The clan played a prominent role in the Wars of Independence, with their chief, Fearchar Mac an t-Sagirt, becoming the first Earl of Ross. They fought alongside Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn and were captured at the Battle of Dunbar.
